What Is Hypnosis? Who is Hypnosis For?

Within every person exists a profound possibility, an untapped source of potential to create meaningful and lasting change in one’s life. In hypnosis, we access the subconscious mind which communicates with us through visualization and feelings. When we let go and relax into deeper levels of the consciousness, the wisdom from within easily rises to the surface.

How does it work exactly?

Hypnosis works by inducing in the individual a deeply relaxed state of being which allows the conscious mind to be distracted and wander. With the conscious mind no longer dominant, the subconscious mind comes to the forefront, allowing the therapist to engage the power of suggestion to create change at a subconscious level. As the suggestions take root at this level our beliefs, feelings, and attitudes are in turn transformed, resulting in new ways of feeling and behaving in our live.

What makes someone hypnotizable?

For most people, access to this inner resource is limited because all of their energy and awareness stays on the surface of the mind, the part of the mind that is constantly evaluating, criticizing, and generally limiting the full range of motion available to a person. What is often not understood is that the nature of this mind is deeply informed and shaped by the much larger and influential subconscious mind. Deeply ingrained habits and ways of perceiving the world lie beneath the surface of our ordinary waking mind.

How does the process work?
When you come in for a session you get to lie down and relax. You don’t need to do anything really, just lay down and let go of the idea of needing to do anything in particular (which I understand can be challenging for some people, and that’s ok). You get to be exactly the way that you are as you are.
What if I can't relax enough?
People are often concerned about not being able to do it right, but really there is no right or wrong way to relax and use your imagination and that is really all that we are doing. We get to let your imagination run, and the imagination and subconscious go hand in hand. When we imagine with intention we connect into those stories and deeply rooted beliefs, so that we can better understand where you are coming from which gives us the information to get you to where you would like to be. Just like getting directions to a physical destination, we first need to know where we are starting.
What does it feel like to be hypnotized?
Hypnosis is a very dreamy experience and in this state we are very connected to our bodies, feelings, and visualizations. The subconscious also communicates with us through metaphor and the metaphors that exist within us are shared through the visuals that come to mind during a session. We can access the stories of who we are to better understand ourselves, as well as change the stories into new stories. It’s really very simple, but extremely powerful.

He holds a B.A. from Fordham University and Hypnotist certifications through the American College of Hypnotherapy and the National Guild of Hypnotists. He earned his “Clinical Hypnotherapist” certification through the American Institute of Health Care Professionals and is a certified member of The International Association of Counselors and Therapists. He received his Reiki Master http://domyhomework.pro certification through the International Center for Reiki Training (ICRT) and Personal Training certification through ACTION. Rob is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Executive Coaching at the University of Texas.

What should I do before my session?

Eliminate (or reduce) intake of meat, fish, fowl, and alcohol from your diet for three days prior to the session. In the morning eat a light healthy breakfast. Drink plenty of water. Avoid outside stimulation such as TV, radio, and newspapers. Find periods of solitude to spend time in nature, and meditate.

What can I expect in my First Session?

During the first session we find the root of the problem, events and emotions effecting the client. Then we re-balance the energy field, work on the pranic tube, chakras, and DNA. Some physical manipulation may also be required to release blockages in the organs and along the meridians. If needed, each subsequent energy healing session is designed to bring the client back into total alignment.
